What Is Alternative Energy?
Alternative energy is energy generated in ways that do not deplete natural resources or harm the environment, especially by avoiding the use of fossil fuels or nuclear power. What Make Alternative Energy So Great?
Switching to Alternative Energy has many benefits including: Environmental: Renewable energy technologies are clean sources of energy that have a much lower environmental impact than conventional energy technologies Energy that Lasts: Renewable energy will not run out. Other sources of energy are finite and will some day be gone. Jobs and Economy will Prosper: Most renewable energy investments are spent on materials and workmanship to build and maintain the facilities, rather than on costly energy imports. Since typically renewable energy investments are usually spent within the United States, normally in the same state, and ofter the same town, this means that the energy dollars one spends will stay at home to create jobs and fuel local economies. Renewable energy also boots the United States trade deficit because renewable energy technologies are being sold from the U.S.to over seas countries. Energy Security: The United States dependency for foreign oil has gone up ever since the early 1970s after the oil supply disruption. Therefor with the use of alternative energy the United States would be less dependent if not completely independent from foreign oil. What are The Types of Alternative Energy?
There are many different types of ways to create renewable energy. The most common is Solar and Wind. The others include, Geothermal, Bio energy, Hydropower, Ocean, and Hydrogen.
